Just what are we doing?

We have repaired the drainage channel on our forecourt. Some subsidence loosened the grating which became distorted and unstable tilting upwards.

The builder replaced the channel and grating, resetting the bricks on fresh cement. The area must be shielded from anything heavy to allow the cement to set hence the chairs,  weighed down by bricks to stop them moving if it gets windy.
