Home Sweet Home

Well the hollowed knot in this beautiful old Scribbly Gum would definitely be home to a small creature, that’s for sure.   A lot of trees were wiped out over a year ago through the fires and this has had a major impact on our wildlife leaving many of them homeless.

There was a fascinating segment on Gardening Australia last Friday night about a fellow who had developed a use for the noxious Camphor Laurel trees into homes for wildlife.  I’ve added a link to their website.  Camphor Laurel trees are an absolute pest because they produce thousands of berries that get transported by birds and grow in the most inconvenient places!!
