Open Spaces

The excellent Dartmoor Magazine is published 4 times a year and is sold at several small outlets on and around the moor. We usually buy a copy at Longash  near Yelverton where there is a small garden centre and cafe. The common is next door to Longash and a walk here offers some fine views of Dartmoor. The hill in the distance is Cox Tor. Since I last came here the bright yellow flowers of the gorse have faded and the May blossom on the hawthorn trees has almost all gone. Bracken is now starting to carpet large areas of the common and there are many sheep and ponies grazing here. While we were at Longash we had a chance encounter with an artist who lives and works on Bodmin Moor.   https://jenniehale.co.uk/
