Down By The Riverside

A walk by the River Tyne today finishing up at the Quayside in Newcastle.  I passed these daisies (with the Tyne river in the background) en route.

The other photo shows the the old fish market in the foreground (I understand that it is now a nightclub called Riverside).  On the hill is the Newcastle Keep which is built on the site of the fortress that gave Newcastle its name.  The Keep is over 900 years old.  To the right of the Keep is St Nicholas's Cathedral.  The current building was built in 1350 and heavily restored in the 18th century.

Apologies for lack of comments.
