The Gatekeeper!

The Great Circle, Stanton Drew - more info here: https://www.english-heritage.org.uk/visit/places/stanton-drew-circles-and-cove/history/

With care in place back home, was able to get out this afternoon for a couple of hours with a friend. I wanted/needed to go somewhere green and peaceful so we headed to Stanton Drew, with the intention of walking around the 4500 year old stone circle, the third largest in the country. But having walked through the village we found our way blocked by a herd of young cows so instead we headed to the village pub for a drink in the garden, a welcome break from the never ending Manic Tuesday chores that were waiting for me back home. In extras, proof that the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence, and a distant glimpse of some of the stones, guarded by another cow!

Thank you once again for your kind ongoing support, very much appreciated.
