Nature Diary... Beautiful self-seeded flowers

A stroll round the garden in the early morning rain brought forth some pleasant surprises one of which was a pretty collection of white 'Love in a Mist,' flowers (Nigella) flowering confidently next to the wonderful, self-seeded Oriental Poppy whose 3rd flower had opened overnight.

It might not have been a very welcoming morning weather-wise (yet again), but it was uplifting to see the plants looking refreshed and healthy.

I'm thinking of inventing my own 'Sun Dance' as the sun seems to have been more absent in the past 6 weeks or so, more than I've ever known it to be before at this time of year. I blame it on the Government... as if that would make any difference :-/  ... Now where did I put my Sun Dance Outfit?...

Many thanks for all the lovely stars left yesterday, and for some left for earlier photos as well. Greatly appreciated.
