Harris Hawk

We are off to a great start on our southeastern Texas adventure at Santa Clara Ranch.  After a delicious Tex-Mex breakfast we headed to the first of four blinds on this 30 acre ranch, used by a steady stream of photographers during the high season.  The first stop was to photograph raptors, including this Harris Hawk, coming in for a landing.  This adventure, which I am enjoying along with fellow blippers Osuzanna and DBifulco, is a happy respite from current world affairs.
