Toy Soliders

We went to Wallington Hall at Cambo this afternoon hoping for a bit of sunshine but no such luck, though we did get there in time to have a look around the house for once! These are toy soldiers collected in the 1880's by Charles Trevelyan and his brothers at Wallington who used to plan battles against each other. There are around 3,000 soldiers in the collection.
