From the top deck

Braved the threat of rain and took the train to New Milton. I’ve wanted to see the new M&S food store there for a while – walked in and out – I was hoping there’d be an exciting café/eaterie - there wasn’t. Just the same old products.

Continued down the High Street, no appealing cafés, so hopped on a bus to Milford on Sea. Walked along the (ever eroding) cliff top. The sky looked increasingly threatening so headed to the village centre. The ‘good’ café we found last time was closed on Wednesdays. Luckily found a rather nice newish place with an unexpectedly good vegan choice.

Pigged it out on a vegan breakfast. Unusually for me I was unable to finish: 2 vegan sausages, 2 portobello mushrooms, 2 x half avocados, roast potatoes, beetroot purée, baked beans, cherry tomatoes on the vine, and 2 thick slices of sourdough. Not eating for a week now.

Bus back. Got on in time before it bucketed down. Blip taken from the top deck as we passed the popular ‘Pebble Beach’ Restaurant in Barton-on-Sea.
