A Day at the Shore

Jersey shore that is. I’m belated in posting, but Saturday could not have been more beautiful; a light breeze, lovely sun, meetup with old friends, and that great view of the waves!
In other states, you go to the ‘beach’. But in New Jersey, it’s a trip to ‘the Shore’. Fifteen years ago when I took my 10 year old great-nephew, he was quizzed by school friends when he told them he was going to the Shore. “What? Where’s that? Oh you mean the Beach.” Then he politely explained, that “No, it’s the Jersey SHORE”.
Nowadays, all the neighboring states refer to New Jersey beaches as the Shore, even the newscasters and weather people !
Either way……Beach or Shore ….. it’s a great place to relax with your toes in the sand !
