Double Plus Good

On This Day In History
1949: George Orwell's 1984  is published

Quote Of The Day
"Being in a minority, even in a minority of one, does not make you mad. There was truth and there was untruth, and if you clung to the truth even against the world, you were not mad."
(George Orwell, 1984 )

The final Board and Council meeting for this school year was followed by a delicious meal at the Kobe Club. It was the final Council meeting to be chaired by this fine gentleman. I can honestly say that he has made every meeting a pleasure with his adept leadership tempered with gentle, urbane wit and badinage. However, I have every confidence that his successor will do an equally splendid job.

And I am unanimous in that.

"Time heals nothing,
It merely rearranges our memory."
