Trinket box

I bought this trinket box almost 60 years ago in Egypt.

The off white material seems to be bone, with perhaps mother of pearl and some other coloured pieces, maybe shell.

Even if they are all a form of plastic,  a lot of work has gone into a cheap souvenir to trap unsuspecting tourists.
