The Lion d'Or

'Tis brutal that we fight thus
with ploughshare and hammer and axe,
when round yon world is a beast so strong
that nought we bring be worthwhile'

This fabulous lion guards the south west facing gardens at Kedleston Hall as they fall into pretty fields that today were treated to a show of leaping lambs. He is a beauty is he not and I was somewhat bewitched by his sheer sneer that I might but dare and blip him. But this I did for you, fair blippers, and I rest now knowing my work was true. Goodnight, adieu.
