A grand day out

I went to That London to meet up with Jemma. We started with a mooch around Borough Market and then down to the White Cube gallery to see an exhibition of photos by Gursky, well worth getting there if you can - it's not that big but the images are stunning. Jemma knows the cool places so we went to a the Beer Mile in Bermondsey where I had a Paulaner - we'd just been talking about Munich so it seemed appropriate. Then through Shad Thames to the river and along back to Borough Market. We had a terrific meal at Brother Marcus and set off for the tube to Kings Cross. Then we bumped into proper blip royalty - check out the extras.

We went to Kings Cross because I hadn't visited the new stuff behind the station, up past the canal. We had a couple of drinks at a bar in the Coal Drops Yard and then wandered back towards the station. Finally, Vinoteca for a couple of drinks and the rain caught us - thankfully the table next to us left and we snaffled that as it had an umbrella.

It was a lovely day and I've done 16k steps - I'll pay for that tomorrow.
