Camellia

I'd like to say that this little beauty is growing in our garden but it is not. It's growing in a neighbour's across the road. We should have a great camellia season as it's so cold they won't go brown in five minutes after blooming.

The heavily pregnant daughter requested not one but two pumpkin pies so I spent some time today cooking a Julia Child recipe. I'm so glad I had already made the pastry cases. The pie requires a fair amount of pumpkin purée - not an Australian thing so I had to make my own. More time consumed. Enjoying a bevvie now in the local, then home to welcome G and J for dinner. Come on baby.
