The ex-palace of the Phoney Pharaoh

Occasionally we head for the honeypot although I have to say that it did not stretch as far as the interior of Harrods. Needless to say the place was teeming, the double yellow lines around the building were stuffed with gleaming limousines including a smattering of Ferraris and Knightsbridge was looking like it does on a summers day. Quite a change around from a few weeks back.

We popped in to Bonhams to check out their latest marine sale - fabulous paintings of square riggers and galleons in full battle and a large collection of model boats. I couldn't resist the temptation and splashed out on a capuccino at Pret a Manger.

Ah - the life!
