Birchover

We are in Derbyshire and spent the afternoon in Birchover and Bakewell. R used to come to visit his aunt, uncle and cousins in Birchover when he was a child so a step back in time for him. They lived near the Druid Inn which was at the entrance to an amazing rocky area called Rowtor Rocks. It was really interesting and such a pretty area. A parson carved seats, steps and caves in the rocks 300 yrs ago. Extras:R on one of the seats and views from there. We enjoyed a pub lunch in the sunshine, a wander round Bakewell (no tarts/puddings consumed) and now staying at a pub where we have met up with friends.
