A Broad-bodied Chaser

Another lovely warm and sunny day today, a perfect day for just chilling. The birds were quiet today (presumably lots of insects for them), so I got my long lens and went looking for a dragonfly on my pond and this one obliged.

Day 813 / Day 104 of no Legal Covid Requirements in England (for my record only)
The weekly ONS infection survey of private households up to 2nd June shows infections on the rise again, the first time for two months with nearly 1m with Covid across the UK. An estimated 1 in 70 in England had the infection (up); 1 in 40 in Scotland (up but uncertain); 1 in 75 in Wales (up slightly but uncertain); and 1 in 65 in NI (up). The ONS said it’s driven by the original BA1 version of Omicron and the BA4 and BA5 ‘variants of concern’. The number of patients with Covid in hospital is also increasing.
