Le Mans

Very hot at Le Mans today. The Goodyear airship takes aerial views of the circuit and race for the onsite video screens. These are very large and we had one facing us across the track from our stand. They are very useful as Le Mans is a long circuit - about 8 miles I think - and you are only viewing a small section of it. Also very useful is the Radio Le Mans coverage led by the estimable John Hindhof. The extra photos show people queuing to get in; a group of scouts who had just cleared the rubbish from our grandstand (or tribune as the French call it), there is a veritable army of scouts doing this on the circuit throughout the weekend; and cars coming through the Ford chicane as the sun was setting.
