Looking up

...... inside Mowbray Castle.
This edifice is actually a folly, or mock ruin built over 250 years ago at the edge of Hackfall woods. 
The woods are near Masham in North Yorkshire and have a number of interesting buildings, some of them follies like this castle. It is a great place for a walk too. 
We found a rather pleasant spot in the woods for our lunch (extra #1).
In extra #2 you can see the spire of Masham Church with the River Ure in the foreground.
