Sunlit Shadows

Home at last! Travelling on a Saturday seems infinitely better than battling through Friday’s queues, so though it’s a long journey, it’s relatively incident free.

Avoiding the joys of a motorway service area, we opt to stop at Baddesley Clinton - a gorgeous National Trust Manor House. Having visited before, we only plan a garden walk and tea, but somehow end up in the house with its fascinating history of Catholicism and priest holes. Despite this interest, my eyes keep being drawn to the sunlight shining through windows and curtains and the images this creates. (Best viewed large if you have time - I find the grey borders left on portrait images in ‘normal’ view distracting!)

Still catching up - thanks so much for the comments, stars and hearts for my Return to Dungeness!
