Blanket Flower

The only photo I made today. A kind of "you never know if you'll get a blip later" -blip before our son M. and his friend C. arrived for a visit.
We had a lovely chat without an annoying photo session ;-)
So it has to be the blanket flower or Gaillardia.
Useless knowledge:
The common name "blanket flower" may refer to the resemblance of the inflorescence to the brightly patterned blankets made by Native Americans, or to the ability of wild taxa to blanket the ground with colonies.(*Wikipedia)
