Shark boat

The shark boat goes out early morning and late afternoon every day, to set and retrieve 'drum lines'. This is a state government policy, aiming to reduce the risk of shark attack on beach users. The practice is controversial, and discussed here on Wikipedia.

The photo looks from Lennox Head to Broken Head in the middle distance. Cape Byron with its lighthouse is further away. Our sunny winter weather continues.
