Ring Around the Sun

Sun Dog or Solar Halo; whatever you want to call it, it was pretty impressive. We noticed this during my daughter's softball double header today. Unfortunately for the girls, they played a much superior team. We scored some runs in game one but in game two they took great pleasure in piling it on and dispensing with our young Vikings in a route. On the plus side, it was a gorgeous sunny day. Still on the chilly side, but nothing like the arctic chill we had to endure during yesterday's game.

This was a rather difficult shot to get. With no filters, it's not so easy to point the camera at the sun and shoot. ;) Quite pleased with this one though.

Time for hell week, as the girls dive headlong into final rehearsals for the school play. Let the drama begin! (pun intended)
