A Walk by the Lake

8 members of the Walking Group met at a local cafe for a cuppa and scone before going for a walk to Eely Point and back.  The snow was slushy to walk on, but not icy, which was great.  Nice to catch up with Piano Lady and The Tuner at the cafe.  

The extras missed the cut.  When I got back to the car I had just clocked up 10K steps, or 7 k's, so pleased with that.  The forecast is for more rain, but no snow at the moment.  +4C.

I have the fire going, so nice and warm.  Will make myself a hot chocolate, then will settle in for the rest of the afternoon.  Am enjoying watching the birds gorge on the animal fat (which they love) and fruit and bird seed.  They seem to be very happy with their lot.
