Old Parish Kirk

Built 1724 the tower was added 1858. In 1901 a large red sandstone kirk was built next door and this older building became the church hall. In recent years both these buildings were sold to developers by the Church of Scotland and the former East Church became the parish kirk. An historic graveyard to the left is maintained by the Council. With Kilbarchan village centre being an "outstanding conservation area" progress to repair and develop these buildings seems painfully slow and they are a eyesore beside the other historic buildings in Church Street.
