Brining home the bacon

Or in this case the bugs. I wondered if this box would be inhabited this year and it is. It's technically a nuthatch box, but the wrens find it perfect for them. of course they find every nest box (except from he two bluebird boxes) are perfect for them. Consequently the nuthatch box, the chickadee box and the two wren ,excuse me, three wren boxes are now occupied by .... wrens. House wrens to be specific as they don't let those upstart Carolina Wrens in their yard!
The bluebird boxes , being found in the middle of a field are not suitable homes for a wren, and are occupied by a bluebird family and swallow family respectively.
The extra is of course - Dad wren monitoring his territory.
