allium seedheads

Very hot today, too hot for the garden. We took Nelly and Ziggy for a long cool walk in the woods early this morning (Nelly in her stroller for half of it), and we were back by 8.30, just as it was starting to get hot. The gorgeous fleece I ordered for Opie, Mr I’s youngest niece, turned up this morning and it’s so very soft. I’d ordered the backing material too, white cotton with loads of tiny colourful little birds all over it. I cut it out this afternoon. Going to put her name across the corner, thankfully it’s only 4 letters.
