Maiden Flight

I spotted this ladybug in our garden . It had just transformed from a (strange) larvae into a ladybug, as you can see in the extra.
Only a few minutes later it started to climb around and than, from the top of a leaf, it took off for its maiden flight. I really wonder how they know how to do it. :-D
