Well, That's Clear Then

Whatever you do, don't go straight. You've got to turn or at least waggle a bit. I may have been out in the sun for a bit too long but this made me smile.

The main story of today concerns Herr Depp, der Handwerker. (Depp actually means a lot of derogatory things which I think I mentioned in a previous Blip and Handwerker is someone who works with their, well, hands). He isn't really called Herr Depp but it suits him a lot.

He's been employed to put up a fire escape ladder. A task that he said would take a day. So when he turned up unannounced on Wednesday demanding that all the cars were out of the carpark, noses were put a little out of joint. However, it was only going to be one day.

And he set to work and after an hour and a half of putting up some scaffolding, he buggered off for the day. He came back on Thursday and put up the rest of the scaffolding and attached half the ladder and then buggered off again. Saying that he wasn't going to come back on the Friday (for reasons that probably involved monkeys and spinach again) but he'd be back on Monday to finish off the job.

Guess what? He didn't turn up.

So that's two workmen we've had this year and they've both been Depps. If you're in the Wiesbaden area and about to hire a Plumber or a man to build a Fire Escape Ladder, ask me and I'll give you 2 names to avoid.
