Big Waters

A beautiful warm day for a change.  A visit to a garden centre to buy a few plants and then a walk at Big Waters, a nature reserve on the outskirts of Newcastle.  The pond in my photo was formed from collapsed mine workings from the 1920's.  I love it when former industrial sites are returned to nature.
