What a lovely day, perfect temperature, not too hot but enough sunshine, great for drying the washing and sitting outside.

Watched the Women’s Prize Award event and the winner was ‘The Book of Form and Emptiness’ by Ruth Ozeki.

A surprise as none of the favourites won. But not a surprise as when one looks at it against the others . . . it is indeed the outstanding book. I wasn’t the only one who said . . . Of course! ! I will say a bit more about the book later. Time for the Sewing Bee now! And we’re away for a brief overnight trip tomorrow.
