Rosewell church

Rosewell was laid out by the Lothian Coal Company and has a number of brick buildings. St Matthew’s church was designed by Archibald MacPherson, built by local volunteers, completed in 1926 but the cloisters were added in 1935, designed by Reginald Fairlie.
