A common darter just having emerged and we looked at each other eye to eye on the edge of the lake. Well she had no choice really .....

A trip to Lower Moor Farm which was disappointing as they really have done very little maintenance. I thought this but then met photographers with serious lenses and they were criticising the upkeep of the area. 'No mow' does not mean, no upkeep. Difficult getting near the water and the paths were completely overgrown. A sad state of affairs. Too much attention to  the cafe etc and not enough on the wildlife.
