A Collective success

A love of sailing around the Scottish islands is the inspiration behind many of Hermione Spencer’s paintings like this one of Arran.
 
We had a great afternoon visiting Open Studios today and among those we visited was the Northfield Collective where six artists have combined to show work, including Hermione Spencer.
 
A growing number of artists this year have formed themselves into Collectives.  And it has paid off because they all report good footfall.
 
Mark Drury, a member of the Northfield Collective is chuffed to bits. He has already sold over a £1,000 worth of "up-purposed silver jewellery, and all donated to Strathcarron Hospice
