Spring Palace

Cherry blossom underplanted with tulips looked wonderful in the Bishop's Palace gardens today. The Bishop of Bath and Wells and his family have an apartment on the left of this picture, but the rest of it is often open to the public. Today the undercroft provided stalls selling vintage goods, with visitors glad to peruse them in the relative warmth!
It was indeed chilly after yesterday's sunshine, so we opted for hot soup in the Cafe during our walk around the gardens, and later went to Evensong in the Cathedral. We sat with the rest of the congregation in the choirstalls behind the choir, and the music, especially at such close quarters, was amazing!
