At the crack of dawn!

I left home this morning at 5.30 am to take a train to the lakeside town of Morges. A friend and I had decided to meet there very early to avoid the heatwave later on! It was the perfect time! We had breakfast on a lovely outside terrace along the lake overlooking the port which is shown here. We had a lovely time, walking and chatting and staying in the shade.

The only comfortable time of the day to do anything at the moment is in the early mornings. The hottest part of today is 30C (86F) it will go up to 32C+ along the lake over the next few days.

If you look carefully slightly left of the middle of the photo, you can just see the Mont Blanc mountain in the dip of the other mountains in the foreground.

I had 2 bottles of cooled water in my bag and we both bought a bottle of Evian water spray to freshen our faces regularly!
