Safe Harbour

On This Day In History
1579: Sir Francis Drake claims California for England

Quote Of The Day
"Disturb us, Lord, when we are too pleased with ourselves, when our dreams have come true because we dreamed too little, when we arrived safely because we sailed too close to the shore."
(Sir Francis Drake)

I sailed far from shore, but all my dreams have come true here. Did I dream too little? Should I wish to be disturbed when I am so happy  beside my boat in the safety of my harbour? Perhaps I should, but I don't.

Is happiness and contentment so wrong?

"I thank you,
For bringing me here,
For showing me home,
For singing these tears.
Finally I've found that I
Belong here."
