P2P board member Marianne Wilson meets an alpaca

Here's Marianne Wilson, another of our P2P board members. Marianne is one of the PhD students in Bruce and Hazel's research group.

Marianne's main focus at Edinburgh Napier University is her doctoral research on the role of natural language interfaces in supporting the career decision making of young people.

Marianne also works part-time as a researcher in our group. She is currently engaged in a project called Heritage organisations and podcasts scoping study (HOPSS). This is a sister project to, and led by the same team of academics as, P2P. Marianne brings her knowledge from HOPSS to the P2P project, as well as an enthusiasm for history podcasts.

If you came to the podcast series launch event in Malvern on 24th May, you will also recognise Marianne as the person in charge of the tea urn!

This week Marianne has attended the Scottish Graduate School of Social Science summer school for PhD students. One of the attractions at this annual event is a herd of alpacas. The students are allowed to pet them. This is a treat that they find rather relaxing: the students that is; we don't know about the alpacas!
