Life through my eyes

One down three to go

My sister "asked" me to preserve Mum's roses in resin.  Not an easy thing to do, anyway silica sand, resin and mould ordered and the first one demoulded and trimmed.  It takes about 1 week to dry the flowers, about 3 days for the resin to harden and 3 weeks for it to fully cure.  The background is a water colour of Cornwall.

A quite day today, weather station recording 32 deg C in the shade so mostly keeping Mr T cool, comfortable, and hydrated.  While he had his afternoon nap I just pottered in the garden, did some sketches and the tonal paintings to decide what key I will paint the portrait in.  I'm thinking I will go mid key, maybe high key but definitely not low key.
