Out Of Darkness Cometh Light

How very apt.

I have had two days being very unwell. A reminder that we are all only here temporarily. A blink of an eye, in the scheme of things.

Today I emerged into the light and feel fine.

I can only say a profound thank you to everyone who expressed care and concern. Don't worry about me, I don't. But it is lovely to know that so many people who are effectively strangers can show so much compassion.

Isn't blip a wonderful thing!

The title is the motto adopted by Wolverhampton and appears on the city's coat of arms.

The image is a picture of a fine and quite impressive sculpture commissioned by Sainsburys to commemorate the opening of their giant superstore at Raglan Street in Wolverhampton in 2014.

Credit for this unique sculpture goes to  Julie Edwards and Ron Thompson of Planet Art. The piece is 9 metres high, made of stainless steel and is illuminated at night. It is engraved with scenes from around the city and at the top there is depicted a large flock of starlings.

It is eyestopping in its beauty. And most people don't give it a second glance.
