New Neighbours

Mireille and Dan have signed on their house in Safara, a village about half an hour south of us. We went round this evening with an angle grinder, and a few other bits to see it. A typical Alentejano house, looking very small and ordinary from the front, but then stretching back and back, level after level, and with all sorts of weird (to us) spaces, ending in a large garage that you enter from the street behind. What really sold it to them was the courtyard, where we sat and chatted for hours, a fresh breeze making it pleasant.

Gratefuls:
- bedding washed and aired
- red blackboard finished, did a second coat
- Paul OK after an accident at work
