NZ Autumn 2024

By AndrewNZ

Southwold through the porthole.

Not a porthole on a ship but in the Sole Bay Sea food restaurant who serve fresh fish and crustaceans direct from the boats moored just a stones throw away. Southwold can be seen in the distance with the lighthouse just visible, not a Blip worthy lighthouse due to being surrounded by houses which is a little odd.
Southwold is in East Anglia and home to Adnams Brewery and Distillery and as the off shore bay is called Sole Bay it's also the name of the brewery and the pub behind it. The Sole Bay pub has a family connection as it has pictures of a WWII Royal Navy Destroyer named HMS Sole Bay that my Father-in-Law served on.
Yet another enjoyable day with family in glorious weather.
