If you are attached to all things "natural' this may not be a solution for you. If you have ever stepped into an ant mound in the garden bed or lawn and received numerous bites, you may be wanting to eliminate the hidden biters.
This has also saved the south corner of my house from the carpenter ants eating away at the wood.

Also, I understand that people in Europe and places in the UK are sweltering in high temps. For some reason ours have gone down to 50ºF 10ºC.
