Cherry Thief

After the week’s exertions and the long drive home, today was definitely a day of rest (apart from the “back to normal” weekly shop). 

As I was pottering around this morning I spotted a squirrel in the cherry tree. I haven’t seen a squirrel in the garden for years, and thought that the birds had stolen all the fruit. However, today there one was, bold as brass, stealing the cherries which had ripened in the warm weather while I was away!
