Greater Spotted Woodpecker

Friends staying with us. Took them to Foulshaw Moss from where the Ospreys can be seen on their nest. It is a long way away but a telescope is provided and there is a video feed from the nest camera.
It was not sunny enough for the dragonflies and lizards for which it iswell known.
But as usual the bird feeders were being well used.
My bird book tells me there are over 40,000 breeding pairs of Greater Spotted Woodpeckers in Britain.
I think this is a juvenile
