Hay Fever Time

Well the hay fever season will be starting soon. The local council cut the grass on the common opposite our house this morning. The trees will soon be offering up their early pollen too. Together with the first cuts of the hedgerow too. All of these are for my nose sweet smells that set me reaching for the local honeypot and the antihistamines.

However, I would not want this time of year to be any different, because this reminds me of the changing season for our wild semi-cultivated plants.
