He's Ba-ack!

Lots of good things happening at FBC this morning!  We began our service with Daniel and the choir, orchestra and all our various accompanists leading the congregation in a great song of worship and praise.  After that first song. we were blessed to witness two baptisms which were extra special because it is Father's Day in the United States and a father and daughter were the ones getting baptized!  We followed that up with more congregational praise and worship, followed by the choir singing "Redeemed By The Blood Of The Lamb", accompanied, of course, by all of our wonderful musicians.  We were also especially blessed to have Pastor Wes back with us today after his absence last week.  He spoke to us from Matthew where we read about the feeding of the 5,000 (which only accounts for the number of men, not all the women and children they had with them) about Jesus as the Savior who satisfies all our needs. He satisfies our need for salvation, for being known by someone who loves us unconditionally, for purpose and direction in this life and  for the resources to complete the ministry that He has called each one of us to, whatever it may be.  At the end of the service, we were privileged to welcome a new member to FBC!  It was a wonderfully encouraging day and I invite you to watch the Live-stream to appreciate all of the blessings of the service fully......Oh, I was thrilled to see and touch Joseph's Silver Medal that he got as a member of Team Texas for flag football at the Special Olympics recently, so I have included the shot I took of him and his sister after the service.  One picture I should have gotten, but didn't, (in true photographer style) was a shot of me with my father, but I did remember to hug him, tell him that I loved him and wish him a happy Father's Day!
