A cinch that's a finch

It's a cinch to tell a house finch from a house sparrow, as you can see here. Though I must say this finch is so red that he may be a purple finch. Both have stopped by to have a snack at my feeders. I regret that the better shot (extra) was from my phone, so it's of poor quality.
