Westminster

A day in Westminster.  Not the palace, but just across the square.  A productive day of meetings with people from TechUK, DCMS, OfCom and MPs/Ministers talking about Safety Tech.

The day ended with a panel session which was predominantly Annabelle Dixon (political correspondent for Politico) grilling Chris Philp (Minister for Tech and the Digital Economy at DCMS) (both to the right) with occasional contributions from Sue Daley from TechUK.

Chris Philp comes across as passionate, knowledgeable and savvy.  I know little about politics or policy, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him with bigger roles in the party/government in the future...

Drew Smith from Zoom (who sponsored the event) was also there, although his main contribution was to plug Zoom and point out they sponsored the day!

A really productive day representing both my company and the industry association which I chair.  So much exciting stuff happening in Online Safety at the moment...
